What makes your company stand out?

Myself and the team pride ourselves on the service we are able to provide our customers. With the partnerships we have within the removal industry, we have the flexibility to tailor our removal services to meet all of our clients specific needs and budgets. Our hard work is reflected in our vast amount of reviews on the various removal review websites which include Google, Trust Pilot and Removal Reviews, to name a few.

What is your insurance policy? How do you deal with damaged items?

All of our customers are offered the opportunity to take out TMS Insurance as part of their removal service with us. The Insurance is provided and covered by one of the Industry leaders within the Removal Industry. Customers wishing to cover their goods will be asked to fully complete an Insurance Valuation Form and their Move Manager will then provide a quotation for the cost based on the items declared. In the event that an insurance claim is required to be made, customers will need to complete a Claim Form and provide pictures and details of the damages which have arisen. Our Operations Manager will then liaise with our Insurers to handle the claim.

What is the best advice you would give to customers?

We always strongly encourage customers to ensure that when comparing quotes that they have requested the same level of service and volume of goods, to make comparing a much easier process for them. Secondly, customers should always do their research on any companies that they may be looking to select to undertake their removal, to ensure there are no surprises along the way.

James, our contact at TMS was very positive and straightforward from the very first phone call. He asked clear and relevant question, told us that he wanted our business and gave us a competitive quote. We did receive other quotes which were all within a small band of costs so we went with TMS because of their positive attitude and willingness to spend time answering our queries and offering sensible solutions. The securing of a container and shipping slot was a potential problem but they secured one in record time, our possessions were collected remotely as we had already moved to Australia and our possessions were en route far quicker then we or they had imagined possible. Our container was due in to Fremantle 13 Dec 2025 as the geopolitical situation meant that the container ships had to sail around Africa rather than use the Suez canal. A few days before it was due to arrive the docks announced that our container would not be allowed to unload until 5 January 2026 because they had a backlog and were closing for Christmas and New Year. TMS provided us with a tracking program so that we could identify the position of our vessel at any point in time. As it turned out our vessel sailed past Fremantle and sailed first to Melbourne and then back to Adelaide arriving in Fremantle as predicted on 5 January 2026. The unloading process was quick and efficient but then we had to wait for inspection and release from Customs. That took a while and resulted in Customs finding a very small number of items which needed treatment or destruction. They were of no value so we chose destruction. The consignment was released to TMS' delivery agent, Allied Services, and in due course our consignment was delivered to our new home.

The service I had has been awful from start to finish. I’ve had a broken new Samsung smart tv, scuffed new tall boy , nothing handled with care. Approximately 40 x wham crystal boxes smashed and a lot were broken in front of me with the careless removal staff. I was treated like dirt by the staff after being bereaved. The priority items didn’t fit . They underestimated the size needed for items then tried say they didn’t. The lovely [Name removed by Sirelo] soon turned nasty when I had further issues with the removal. He said the whole thing is a nightmare and told me I was a nightmare (having just been bereaved) because I called about the broken items. There was no empathy, nothing,
They are money hungry and don’t care about the person. They lied about contacting the removal company about the broken items and accused me of bribery when I wouldn’t accept their joke of compensation see attached. A bereavement is a horrible thing for any of us at any time, but the timing of your bereavement in relation to your moving schedule no doubt added extra stress for you, for which [Name removed by Sirelo] conveyed our sympathies at the time and I would like to convey them again, that we're sorry for your loss.

As for the remaining detail in your review and version of events, as already discussed in our offline discussions, I would like to highlight the below points for transparency for individuals reading your review.

Your removal was owner packed, so we have no knowledge of pre-existing conditions of your items, nor a say in how you chose to package your goods. Against our professional advice and [Name removed by Sirelo] having advised that such wham plastic boxes are at risk of damage, you chose to use them still.

Given that your contact to us was only 48 hours until we then collected your goods, we can only assume that this is why you op ted for the items to remain in the boxes.

Regarding the size of your removal, this was determined based on pictures you shared with us, however, on arrival it was evident that the full extent of your goods was not made apparent to us.

We did notify transport of the issues, however, as you were our customer and your contract is with TMS, there was nothing that could be done via them.

In regard to compensation, you demanded £1,500 and stated this would prevent you from leaving a review. We did not agree to this demand; hence, I am replying to your 1-star review now.

Unfortunately, we are sorry that you have been unhappy with our service and can now only simply wish you all the best for the future.

I would highly recommend Total moving solutions. They moved my house furniture from Ireland to Liverpool.They offered me the best quote and their service was great.
