The main reason we decided to move was my husband’s career opportunity and the chance to give our family a better lifestyle. We were also excited by the idea of our children growing up with the opportunity to learn another language. It felt like a big change, but one that we were all looking forward to.
We found Eurogroup International Movers through friends who had moved earlier in the year. They told us to contact Jordan directly because they had such a good experience.

Before the move, my biggest concern was what would happen once our belongings left the UK. We had heard horror stories about large moving companies handing deliveries over to different companies abroad, and that worried me.

Florence immediately felt very different from Oxford. It is much busier, with bustling streets everywhere, but we’ve really enjoyed discovering it.
Finding our local shop, our local bar, and learning how to use public transport has all been part of settling into daily life. Everyone has been very friendly and has made us feel welcome. It is a big change, but we are excited about it and hope our children pick up Italian quickly.
We moved from a house with a garden to a large apartment, so we are still getting used to apartment living and learning the layout of our new home.
Thankfully, because everything had already been unpacked, it felt like home almost immediately. Having the children’s rooms and toys ready straight away helped them settle in, and my husband was able to start work without worrying about the move. We have plenty of space and a balcony, so we are all very happy.
