This agreement means that travel for Irish and British nationals across the British Isles is unrestricted, even after Brexit. This makes your move to Ireland a lot easier. Non-UK family members are not covered under this agreement and will need to apply for a visa.
If you are an EU citizen and hold a passport from an EU nation, you do not need a visa as Ireland is part of the EU and you have freedom of movement to the Republic of Ireland (just note that this does not include Northern Ireland as it is part of the UK).
